Dirty Shopping Carts - no more worry....

Snazzy Baby{GIVEAWAY}

Have you ever gotten so frustrated with those straps on the grocery cart to hold the baby in, that you just wanted to scream? I have!! 90% of the time when I go grocery shopping I have my little guy with me. Its always such a pain, I strap him in, but then he is sliding all over the place, and most of the time trying to bite the bar across the cart, gross germs~! The day I got my Snazzy Baby Travel Chair sample in the mail, I went to the store. Oh my goodness, talk about the most fantastic thing ever!! It so easy to to use, and assembles in seconds. I just put it on the shopping cart seat, secured the support belt through the back of the cart, and fastened the clips. Then simply put my baby in, and clipped him in. I love the fact that it has secure shoulder straps, this prevents him from being able to put his head down and put his mouth on the cart. It’s so easy to use, keeps him upright, comfy and eliminates the use of dirty shopping cart straps. Check out this snazzy baby video to see how quick and easy this is to use.

Not only can the Snazzy Baby Travel Chair be used in the shopping cart, but can also be used as a support on a chair. This is so great when going out to eat, visiting family and friends, and traveling. It attaches to the chair in seconds. I had a friend and her daughter visiting last weekend, and when both kids needed to eat at the same time, we put her baby in the high chair, and put my little guy in the Snazzy Baby Travel Chair to feed. So easy!!! Instead of having to go to a restaurant and use one of their germy booster seats, we can just bring this instead. Its so light weight and compact only 7 ounces. Simply just carry over your shoulder with the strap, or fits right into your purse or diaper bag without taking up hardly any room. So much easier then lugging a heavy booster seat around. I love my Snazzy Baby Travel Chair, and will get so much use out of it. You can use it from the time your baby can sit up unsupported all the way until they are 35 pounds.

Here's another one of those products that I wish I would've known about a year ago! One of the hardest things for us to do when Graham was an infant was to go out to dinner. It seemed like there was so much gear we had to lug around with us. One of those things was a travel chair. It was a nice travel chair, but it was heavy and had to be folded just so. You see, Graham did not like to sit in those restaurant high chairs because the backs were so low. But, if we had known about the Travel Chair we could have lightened our load a bit!

I am wondering why someone did not think of this sooner! It is basically a super padded chair that folds up into a carrying bag. It is all connected so there are no pieces or parts to worry about. The Deluxe Travel Chair converts just about any chair into a high chair constraint system. The Travel Chair also has a non slip bottom so that your little one will be snug and secure! There is a four point restraint system that can be adjusted to fit your child securely.

The Deluxe Travel Chair is also a great idea for shopping carts! Again, Graham would not sit up straight in those carts because of all the extra room. This would have been a solution to us getting rid of the infant car seat on the cart (not to mention, much more safe). When you are done, you simply roll it down into the attached bag, sling it over your shoulder, and hit the road! You can start using the Deluxe Travel Chair from the time your child can sit unsupported until about 37 lbs. The chair itself only weighs 7 ounces!

With so many possibilities, no wonder the My Baby's Own Deluxe Travel Chair won the iParenting Media Award. It is available in 2 colors: Red and Navy and retails for $34.99. This would make an excellent shower gift!

Snazzy Baby Knee Pads For Active Kids

Snazzy Baby was created by Australian mom Cyndy Mundy after she needed to find a way to protect her active tot’s tender knees from a day of crawling on the carpet.

When I met with Cyndy last month she noticed how active my son was and suggested I may need a pair of her knee pads. I agreed. Because our first floor is a combination hardwood and ceramic, my little guy constantly has bruises on his knees from whipping around.

Snazzy Baby’s knee protectors are great because they have an easy fastening system that can be adjusted as my son grows and Non-slip “traction beads” embossed on to the Neoprene to give him better traction on our slippery floors.

For the longest time he would do the military crawl when crawling on our ceramic floors because he couldn’t get proper traction. Wearing the Snazzy Baby knee pads over his pants has helped him learn how to crawl properly and safely.

I always thought that knee pads for babies was an unnecessary product until my own son developed war wounds from learning how to get around.

They may also come in handy this Spring when my oldest son learns how to ride his bike.

Parents of special needs children will also appreciate that Snazzy Baby knee pads are endorsed by medical professionals and can be used with children with special needs such as hemophilia, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and muscular dystrophy.

Snazzy Baby’s knee pads are $20.99 or $24.99 with a pair of leg warmers.

Designed for kids from 4 months to 4 years.

Aloha!

One of the reasons I prefer not to take my kids out to eat when they’re young is the fact that I can’t stand those high chairs and booster seats that the restaurants provides. Half the time the safety straps are broken or the chair is dirty. Not to mention the germs that are crawling all over them. Yuck!

That’s why I was particularly interested in My Baby’s Own Travel Chair from Snazzy Baby.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Your home for the best in innovative baby protection products, Snazzy Baby was created by Australian mom Cyndy Mundy who needed to protect her tot’s tender knees after another day of crawling on the carpet. The award-winning company has impressed online and brick and mortar retailers with snug, soft, 4 layer cushioned oval knee pads made of neoprene and secured with velcro straps and ensuring a comfortable fit. iParenting Media Awards have praised each one of their products as they’ve come to market.

OUR REVIEW

We received My Baby’s Own Travel Chair to review and I was very impressed with how compact it is. Everything comes tucked inside an attached pocket (7″ x 5″) for easy storage and transport. It’s also lightly padded for comfort, light weight, and made from a nylon-type material for easy cleaning.

Setting it up was easy. I just took the back strap and attached it behind the chair. There are also adjustable shoulder and side straps to keep your child safe, secure, and in place.

Kaila is a little too young yet to use this chair since she can’t even hold her head up. So I decided to put Hello Kitty in it just to give you an idea of how the travel chair works. As you can see, HK is pretty secure in there with the shoulder and side straps secured.

However, what I liked best about My Baby’s Own Travel Chair is that when you’re done all you need to do is roll everything up and tuck it inside the attached case. I remember using more bulky high chair/shopping cart covers with my other daughters and it was always a pain to get everything stored when it was time to leave. I would end up just throwing the whole thing into the car and vowed to pack it up properly later. Of course, I never did. In addition, with all the other baby gear that I need to tote along the last thing I need is more bulk.

So, if you’re worried about germs, safety, and portability when dining or shopping with your child, you owe it to yourself to check out My Baby’s Own Travel Chair. It sells for $34.95 from Snazzy Baby.

When I had Nathan, 2 other family members were having babies so there were always playpens, swings and high chairs at every family gathering. No need to travel with half your house each family gathering. However, this time around (15 years later) we are the only ones with babies so again we need a small trailer to carry all the kids stuff to each event.

Luckily we now have a Snazzy Baby Travel Chair which has made life so much easier! It can turn an ordinary chair into a temporary restraint system so you can feed your child or use it in a shopping cart instead of using those (disgusting) simple and not-so-safe straps some come with. We use it whenever we go to a restaurant or to someone's home & it has made for some much nicer meals since Jake is safe and secure (aka: not running all over the place).

I didn't mention how incredibly light the Travel Chair is. At 7 ounces and super compact, it fits in any diaper bag easily. I have even just thrown it into my purse and it also has a built in strap so you can just throw it over you shoulder as well. I was worried that something so light would not contain my squirmy child but it did a fabulous job. To see it in action Watch TDmonthly Video .

Snazzy Baby also carries Knee Pads for crawlers and early walkers. While I did not have a chance to review these, they did receive an iParenting Media Award (as did the Travel Chair!). The knee pads are ergonomically designed for flexibility and movement without impacting circulation. Most of our house is covered in carpet but I know most of my friends homes are either tile or wood - these would be a must for a little one in those homes.
